(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kdesktop
Version: v1.9.8 (KDE 2.0.9 >= 20001128)
Severity: normal
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 19991030 (prerelease)
OS: Linux 2.4.0-test9 i686 (compiled sources)

When you change a property of an icon on the desktop (icon name) or add/remove a file from the desktop
ALL icons lose their positioning and are aligned in a row in the top-left corner of the desktop.
