What context do you find it useful in?

I usually run irssi on the first tab of my konsole, and do my work in
the rest. Having a visual indication that somebody hilighted me is what
I find useful.
Thanks,
The small visual indication is also useful when sound isn't working (kvm likes stealing it on my box :-(). Plus IMO it's nicer (and more persistent, which is also good) than the popup from knotify, particularly if the session title is not unique. ...my $0.02 I agree this feature could be handy and useful. Just to clarify or confirm one thing: in KDE3 konsole, a bell always changes the icon of the corresponding tab, no matter whether the tab is active or not. At least that is my observation when checking KDE 3.5.10 . So if this feature is reintroduced, should it mimic the KDE3 way or the expected way in the original report? It is quite easy to mimic the KDE3 way(I just tried), but I think that could be boring for some users. On the other hard, implementing the expected way correctly in KDE4 konsole is a little harder. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 399140 *** |
