hi

i use and like folderview alot. sometimes , i dont want to open a file or folder thats inside folderview , but the folder that folderview is configured.

i would like to double click on folderview's empty space , and it would open the folder the folderview is configured for. ( this is particulary usufull if i am using a filter for the folderview, and i want to check easilly what other things are on the folder )

thanks

I agree.

Double click on folderview's title or just on empty space should open Dolphin (or Konqueror) with folderview's directory.

we really try to not implement magic behaviour like this in plasma; if something performs an action, it's marked in some way. this is also one of the reasons we try to avoid people having to rely on context menus.

collapsing, opening, etc the folder itself is planned, but not by magic clicks in unmarked areas.

(there are also wishlist items filed already for most of those functions as well iirc)
