It has been implemented in current trunk. Please reopen. I still see: Style, Colors, Icons, Fonts, Today, 2009-01-06 SVN (kde4daily). I'm sure that the last week it was ordered... You said this in such way, that just to reassure -- it should be done on-fly, not hardcoded (translations). The items are listed according to weight then alphabetically, so that important modules are shown first. You can change an items weight by changing the X-KDE-Weight variable in the modules *.desktop files. Removing all of them will cause it to sort alphabetically only. Changing request to wishlist for feature to sort only alphabetically. Items are sorted by weight then alphabetically if two modules share the same weight, to ensure that the most 'important' modules are seen first by the user. The weights can be changed by editing the "X-KDE-Weight" values in the desktop files of the modules / categories. Removing them all would cause complete alphabetical sorting to be used. Usability will need to be consulted before a "order only alphabetically" feature can be considered. These are now sorted by order of how useful or frequently-used we think the pages are. |
