there's already one in playground that will likely get polished and moved into kdeplasmoids in 4.2. @Aaron: do you know if there is something working at this time? At least in Ubuntu 10.10 there actually is the Global Menu widget (available at kde-looks.org if I am not mistaken) which mirrors this function. Just add this widget to a panel at the top of your screen and here you go. Should be in the default widgets set though. A menu in the way KDE 3 featured would not be possible, consistent or good but the Global Menu widget in combination with a panel would be nice. Maybe consider adding a “Global menu” to the “New panel” list? (the list where you can add a Default or Empty panel) |
