.odt files anywhere throughout the system (desktop or file manager) are recognised as java archives. right clicking the file for "icon settings" shows "Type: Java Archive". attempting to change the application association from within here brings up the Java Archive properties, with filename patterns of *.jar.

Using KDE 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.0 (4.1 >= 20080722)) (KDEmod) in ArchLinux i686:
Using strigidaemon 0.5.11.

I cannot reproduce this bug.

Can you still reproduce it with a recent KDE version? (4.1 or 4.0.5)
