Version: unknown (using 3.5.9, Kubuntu (hardy) 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu7.1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-16-generic

(KDE4 Kontact 1.2.9 Akregator 1.2.9)
Installed Ubuntu 8.04 KDE4 Remix and updated
Opened Kontact, Selected Feeds
Deleted all KDE Related feeds
Went to add feed from epicshardz.net, it started downloading the feed and I got "feed not found from (address)."

Tried the following feeds to no avail:
http://www.epicshardz.net/?feed=podcast
http://www.epicshardz.net/?feed=rss2
http://www.epicshardz.net/?feed=rss
http://www.epicshardz.net/?feed=atom
http://en.blog.wordpress.com/feed/
(last one was to check that it wasn't on my end)

Cannot reproduce using your same version. Feeds are correctly loaded.

Cannot reproduce with your version.

Is it possible that the feeds may have not been reachable for some reason? (Router / connection issues?)
Comment 4 Eric "me262" Mason 2008-05-24 07:51:59 UTC
I know I can't go through the KConnectionMamager as I use kppp to dial to my wireless internet (another ubuntu issue I think), but other than that I'm directly connected to the internet without issue.
Comment 5 FiNeX 2008-05-24 10:03:54 UTC
And you still cannot load those feeds?
Comment 6 Eric "me262" Mason 2008-06-12 03:18:09 UTC
Up until I sent in the hard drive for service (and have since installed ubuntu on a new one) I was unable to access feeds.

I currently do not run kubuntu kde4 anymore, and have switched to ubuntu gnome.
I'm wondering if it's a problem with the network manager. I'm on EVDO wireless, and the network manager doesn't become aware of the connection (kppp or nm-applet).
