Description András Manţia 2008-05-20 21:59:56 UTC
Go to www.intend.ro. Click on Notebook in the left, try to select a brand from
Producator drop-down combo in the main area. The list appears and disappears.
If I disable the Fade plugin, everything is fine.
System:
Nvidia 169.12
Nvidia Geforce 7200GS
AMD64, using 64 bit

I have a similar problem. If the fade desktop effect is enabled, the drop-down list of a combo box appears for a moment and disappears. The shadow of the list is visible and when clicked on the shadow the content of the widget changes, therefore the widged is there, but is invisible. When I disabled the fade option the drop-down list behaved as it should.

This is true not only for khtml but other applications that have combo boxes, for example zoom in Okular or address bar in konqueror.

I have Fedora 9 installed with KDE 4.0.5 (kdebase-workspace-4.0.5-3.fc9.x86_64).

I wouldn't add the comment, if I couldn't reproduce. ;) nvidia 173.14.05, geforce 7600gs, opengl composition.

Aargh, meantime I restarted my kde session and now it works. strange.
Comment 6 Piotr Piotrowski 2008-09-14 21:56:51 UTC
I have updated to KDE 4.1.0 and the problem does no longer occur on my installation.

According to everyone it fixed itself.
