Description Dustin Steiner 2008-05-19 15:03:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.3)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

When I insert a disc, the KDE Daemon opens the "What to do?"-dialog.
when i choose "open in new window", dolphin opens and an error occures: "URL cannot be listed system:/media/sr0".
I don't know why the dialog wants to open the false url, because when i open the disc via the "new device notifier" in the taskbar, the right url "/media/Disk1" is used and it works...

Do you also have KDE 3 installed on your computer? This sounds like kded from KDE 3 is running during your KDE 4 session since I think the "What to do?" dialog is replaced by the device notifier in KDE 4.

Yes, I am running KDE 3 too, because some apps run with KDE 3 such as kdebluetooth, ...
Comment 3 A. Spehr 2008-07-30 11:15:09 UTC
system:// is deprecated on kde4
Comment 4 Dario Andres 2009-04-03 01:20:51 UTC
This was caused by a mixed KDE3/KDE4 session/installation.
