Description mps 2008-05-16 17:43:06 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: GCC 4.1.2.33
OS: Linux

If the check mail button is pressed whilst kmail is in the middle of sending messages, kmail starts using 100% of CPU and the only solution is to kill it. On a restart there is no data loss.

I am using pop/smtp accounts only, both smtp and pop are using TLS but the problem occurs with TLS switched off (no encryption).

Steps to repeat - send a mail via an smtp account, whilst it is still sending click on the Check mail button.

I can not reproduce. I tried checking mail while sending a big message, and everything worked as expected. The CPU briefly spiked to 10%, but after the check finished, it was down again.

I updated to a recent build and this problem seems to have been solved. Closing.
