Description Yuri Pikin 2008-05-13 19:59:48 UTC
Version: 1.0.2 (using KDE 4.0.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Dolphin "Samba Shares" does not work properly. Dolphin can not see Workgroup and computers in it. Although it can access computers by their ip-names.

I suffer this problem, too. When switching Network from 'Places' panel and opening Samba Resources there the message appears. And IP in address bar works perfect.

Using dolphin from trunk (r806921) I see workgroups and shares without any problem.

Alexey: are you using the same version as Yuri (4.0.3) ?
Comment 4 Alexey Chernov 2008-05-13 21:14:47 UTC
No, I use KDE 4.0.4, but the problem is there. It also sometimes throws the message saying, "there're too many parameters, send bug report" (sorry, no exact screenshot, I can't to reproduce it now) or so.

This report is quite old, and I failed to reproduce the reported problem using KDE SC 4.8 RC2. Feel free to reopen if it still happens in recent versions of KDE SC.
