Description Diederik van der Boor 2008-05-06 11:03:35 UTC
Version: onbekend (using 3.5.9 "release 53.4" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.17-0.1-default

When a disconnected IMAP account is created, the server node is added to the folder list, but no folders are downloaded. I had to right-click (select "fix issues in imap buffer...") before the folders became visible.

It seams the folders are also downloaded the first time you hit the "e-mail sync" button.

Before you either refresh or sync manually the node in the folder list does nothing.

I can confirm this bug on trunk r948809.

I think it is normal. Unless the account is synchronized for the first time, it'll not get folder list.

it'll not get folder list.

I don't think it's normal to require additional manual actions, after you already completed the thing you wanted: "adding an account". It's like copying files to a folder, and having to press F5 afterwards to see them.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
