Description Matthias Pospiech 2008-04-11 19:44:35 UTC
Version: Unbekannt (using 3.5.9 "release 53.4" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.8-0.7-default

After I log in into kwallet kded steps up top 100% where it keeps until forever.
If I kill kded, then kwalletmanager is not running and all applications complain about missing passwords (obviously).

If I then first start kwalletmanager, then kded the system works as expected.

KDE is the latest 3.5.9 from suse.

Same here on gentoo + KDE 3.5.9, although it happens sporadically
Comment 2 Michael Leupold 2008-06-24 09:32:44 UTC
With KDE 4.1 kwalletd and kded will run in separate processes. Like this less deadlocks are possible and this should work as expected.

I'm sorry but I'm closing this because kwallet on 3.5.9 will not get any improvements as the codebase is quite different from the 4.x series (DCOP/DBus) and unfortunately I don't have time to care for both.
