Description Ivo Anjo 2008-04-09 20:56:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.3)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

I have two monitors on my desktop. If I enter presentation mode in the left one, okular displays a gray screen while rendering the first slide, then starts the presentation normally.

If I drag okular to my second monitor, and start the presentation, I see the normal gray, then the slide is rendered, then it is quickly covered by gray again, and the screen stays that way (but I still can access the normal top bar).

Just tried on revision 794646. Cannot reproduce the bug.
The presentation mode start on the screen according to the okular settings and the file is rendered correctly.

Okular 0.7 (KDE 4.1) will bring a totally improved handling of screen for the presentation mode.
The bug is there in Okular 0.6.x though (and the problem is confirmed), but I'm not sure about what can be done for it.

As already said in comment #2, the handling of multiple monitors should be much better for KDE 4.1.
Due to the fact that I basically cannot test (no secondary monitor), and that most probably there won't be other KDE 4.0.x releases, I'm closing the bug.รน

Feel free to reopen or open a new report if there is a similar issue in KDE 4.1.

Thanks, I can confirm the fix with the latest kde4daily, it works quite nicely!
