creates subsequently some alert window by JavaScript
Still in KDE4 trunk. This is not a error but the expected inconvenient behaviour. The Testcase below (which is a simplification of the html file linked above) creates subsequently a bunch of javascript error message (window.alert("...")) which will be displayed as a KNotification. The main window looses input focus and hence it is not possible to interact with the main window. Closing a tab or the whole application is not possible until all error message has been closed. It might be the expected behavior, but it is very annoying, and perhaps should be limited. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88219 for a similar issue (different function) in terms of "how many windows can you open how quickly" misuse Not sure if this is a bug. This happens in all browsers. I tested in firefox and konqueror. The difference is that, in firefox, I could close tab by quickly pressing close button after hitting enter for prompt. Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams: This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore. If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report. Thank you for your understanding. |
