Description Horky 2008-03-28 05:34:58 UTC
Version: 1.6.3 (using KDE 3.5.7KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Fedora RPMsFedora RPMs

PPD file:
 My DRV has following options:
    Option "Rotated/Rotate 180 degrees" Boolean AnySetup 10.0
                Choice "True/On" ""
                *Choice "False/Off" ""
I compiled with ppdc 1.2.8, in the PPD file, there are:
  *OpenUI *Rotated/Rotate 180 degrees: Boolean
  *OrderDependency: 10.0 AnySetup *Rotated
  *DefaultRotated: False
  *Rotated True/On: ""
  *Rotated False/Off: ""
  *CloseUI: *Rotated

Environment:
  KWord,KWrite in Fedora 7
Not only in KWord, Kwrite has same issues, so I think that's KDEPrinting's issue.

Steps:
  1. Open "Admin Page" via CUPS web administration page
  2. Choose Printer and "Set Printer Options", then turn on "Rotate 180 degrees"
  3. Save it
  2. Print with KWord directly. (Not change anything)
  3. My filter cannot get the keyword "Rotated". (NG)

Even this option was changed in CUPS page, but CUPS won't send it to filter, and KDE application find these setting are default settings of CUPS, so it won't send them too.
But all GNOME-based applications are OK, such as gedit and so on. OpenOffice and StarOffice can work fine too. They all send full option list to CUPS/Filter driver.

I just want to know is it CUPS's issue or KDEPrinting's issue.

Does KDEPrinting want to fix this issue?

KWord doesn't know much at all about cups.
