I have set kwallet to use no password, i.e. if kmail starts-up and queries kwallet I get the "Do you want to allow access to kmail: Once, never, etc.".

If I wait for some time and do not click any of the buttons, kmail opens its own password dialogue, asking for the password of each account with an empty line for the password. the kwallet dialogue is still open too of course.

Expected behaviour: Wait until the user has done something with the kwallet dialogue.

Agreed. This is a kdelibs bug though.

This is not 100% related to kdelibs:

In my case, I have kmail configured to look automatically for mail in 5 minutes interval. Sometimes, I am not in my laptop after powering on, and kmail loads at startup, then this bug is triggered, BUT:

Why kmail does not ABORT mail retrieval when this bug triggers, I mean, kwallet fails, but kmail keeps continuing in trying of retrieving emails, and thus, the kmail's password popup comes.

So I suggest reopening and solving kmail's part of this bug.
