Description Michael 2008-03-16 05:08:16 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: GCC 4.1.2 Gentoo 4.1.2
OS: Linux

(Note that this is not severe. Regressions should be fixed first)

Currently the panel is always placed on the very edge of the screen. Wouldn't it be possible to allow the panel to be "undocked" from the edge so that it can "float" on the screen?

yes, we've thought about it a few times. I don't think it would take much work (once the panel has a good ui), but it's not a high priority. :)

the ability to undock file selector existed in earlier versions. I often used this feature. I would like it back. What needs to be done?

undock the file selector? which file selector? (and what does that have to do with this bug? =)

Hello!

This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable.

Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting

If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging

Thanks for your understanding!

Nate Graham
