- You can't move widgets to change its position within panel We know, we're working on it. - If you add a widget, you'll have some widgets over others What version are you using? I don't get that behaviour. And what steps exactly do you perform to place the widget on the panel? eg: double-click in applet browser, or drag-and-drop... Dragging from panel to desktop will come with the first point. The other way has been implemented, I believe. Please file separate bugs for separate issues. This one can be about the second issue. I'm using SVN trunk (compiled the whole kde 2 hours ago). Try this from a default panel with default things in it) (all actions right clicking the panel and pressing add widgets): remove application launcher add application launcher. see if it is at the right, and some things are over others.. if not, maybe I will need to create a new user to test with from the beginning Yes. The panel is still a work in progress There are bugs about this already. There are patches to improve it already No need to file more. You need to be more precise in your reports: I can think of at least two ways of adding widgets to the panel. Double-clicking the widget in the "Add Widgets" dialog indeed places it on the right. Which is what I'd expect. Clicking-and-dragging to panel places it where you dragged it to (except that you can't place it on the far left when the panel runs up to the left edge - this is a bug). If you get the same behaviour I described above, I'm going to mark this as invalid. Rambling and unspecific bug reports are almost impossible to deal with. I've filed the bug I mentioned as Bug 159323 I didn't try to drag and drop, so you can mark it as invalid. I'm sorry :) No problem, but if you can try to report only a single specific problem in each bug report in future, and be completely precise about how to reproduce it, that would be really helpful. |
