Description S. Burmeister 2008-03-14 10:22:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.2)
OS: Linux

If one moves through menus and due to whatever reason opens an item that opens a sub-menu, yet does not contain any items, KDE just displays a little grey spot.

Same if you right-click on an empty space in dolphin's places pane.

The little grey spot does not say anything to the user, so either one should not show it at all or show "no items in this menu".

From what I recall, KDE can virtually do nothing about this.
This means some application is creating a submenu, but adding no actions to it.
Probably you should report the problems for the applications that show the issue.

I did, yet I thought there might be a way to handle this centrally. If not just close this bug.
Comment 3 Dirk Mueller 2008-08-18 02:03:28 UTC
it should be fixed in the individual applications, please report it there.
