Description Anders Lund 2008-03-10 22:26:43 UTC
Version: 1.9.9 (using 3.5.9, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu1~gutsy1~ppa1)
Compiler: Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22-14-generic

Since upgrading kde to 3.5.9 kmail is sometimes crashing when i attempt to send mail to many recipients, typically in the BCC field.

Today it happened 5 times, the 6th time i had saved the mail as a template to avoid having to redo all my work, and then it was successfully sent.

I have two suspicions:

a) it has to do with the checking of recipient addresses.
b) my current connection is doing very fast switcing, which sometimes leads kde to loose a response.

unfortunately i can't provide a meaningful backtrace.

In any case, the problem is so bad that I feel that kmail is not a viable solution, how ever much i would hate having to use something else.

Do you still experience this crash with kmail from KDE4.1 ? If so, could you provide a backtrace following this guide : http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports
