Description Stephan Johach 2008-03-08 13:07:29 UTC
Version: 1.9.9 (using 3.5.9, compiled sources)
Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.23.12

Today I got a SPAM mail. When trying to delete it (by selecting it) Kontact/KMail went to 100% cpu usage and I had to kill the process. I did not wait however how long the blocking endures but it is blocking every time you select the mail. This is IMHO a kind of DOS attack which should be taken care of.

Looking at the guilty mail I found out it had a verly large to: header. Probably this is the reason for the hang.

Deleting the mail by hand fixed the problem.

If anybody is interested in analysing the actual problem I can provide the blocking mail as a file attachment.
