Description translator 2008-02-26 12:51:13 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

When selecting a new wallpaper, the image preview of the file open dialog does not scale SVGs correctly, but rather displays the upper left corner only.

I'm running Ubuntu Hardy,
Qt: 3.3.7
KDE: 3.5.9
KDE Daemon: $Id: kded.cpp 711061 2007-09-11 09:42:51Z tpatzig $

Steps to reproduce:
1) Right click on the KDE desktop, select "Configure Desktop"
2) Select "Background" (on the left side) and then "Picture" on the right side.
3) Click on the folder icon (in order to select a wallpaper image)
4) Now single-click on a non-svg image (e.g. .jpg): The image should be scaled down to thumbnail size on the right side of the dialog (with "Automatic preview" enabled).
5) Now single-click on a svg/svgz file: You will only see the upper left corner of the image.
If you resize the whole open-dialog you see more of the image.

Also happens on Feisty with KDE 3.5.8
Comment 2 Dario Andres 2009-05-08 16:28:17 UTC
Here using:

Qt: 4.5.1 (qt-copy 960517)
KDE: 4.2.71 (KDE 4.2.71 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090428))
kdelibs svn rev. 963904 / kdebase svn rev. 963904
on ArchLinux i686 - Kernel 2.6.29.1

I can't reproduce this bug.
The file dialog shows the preview of some SVGz files properly even after showing the preview of another image files. (tested with Oxygen scalable icons)

It works correctly here too (using trunk). Closing as WORKSFORME.
