Description Markus Grob 2008-02-24 12:37:00 UTC
Version: 4.0.1 (using KDE 4.0.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

At the moment, the show desktop shows only the desktop, but soesn't minimize open windows. I think, this behavior isn't wished, because normally I like to see the desktop to do anything and not only show the desktop to hide, what programs are no open. I don't have to hide, what I'm working for :-) and if so, then I would have minimized all, so I could open only the not sensitive windows ;-)
Because of this, I like to have the same like in KDE 3.x, where I could minimize all and work from there, even I had minimized all by hand. If I don't wonna this, I could also press the "show desktop" widget again and set all back to the condition before.

Please repeat after me:
- there is NO 'kdesktop' product for KDE 4
- 'kdesktop' is the _kde3_ application to draw the desktop, NOT the "KDE desktop"

there is a widget that does this called "minimize all" in 4.1
