Description Jeremy Hankenson 2008-02-12 01:22:38 UTC
Version: 4.0.1 (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

When you click once on the volume picture on the plasma bar at the bottom. You are presented with this huge window that only holds a slider bar. I just want to change the volume not have a full blown window to do it. Make it smaller please.

interesting definition of "huge", though i do agree it's larger than it should be. it would also be great if it were shaped and pretty rather than square and what not. i really dislike the systray for these things, but oh well, it's what we've got for now =)

Haha, ya, I exaggerated a little bit; I tend to do that a lot. ;D
Comment 3 S. Burmeister 2008-02-12 13:08:51 UTC
I don't think the size should be changed, big buttons are good to grab and aim at and the button at the bottom defines the width.

If you do not need the pop-up, use your keyboard keys or the mouse-wheel on the systray-icon.

I never said the button size should be changed just the empty space around the buttons should be shrunk to be made smaller. Everyone as there own opinion, lets just see what other people think.

I agree with the bug reporter. The extra KDialog::marginHint() applied to the layout is just too much. Will be fixed.
