I cannot add an identity with the mail address aoei.@test.org. I get the error message:
The email address you entered is not valid because it does not seem to contain an actual email address, i.e. something of the form joe@example.org

I would prefer a non-fatal warning stating this is against the rfc and you have no guarantee your mails will be accepted by all mail clients. This is especially important if people have had "wrong" mail addresses for years.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
