Description ZcMander 2008-01-24 18:14:48 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc-4.1.2 CFLAGS="-O2 -march=i686 -pipe"
OS: Linux

When i start totally clean session and then open dolphin and try to open ntfs-filesystems, it works just perfectly, but if i have done something else, eg. insert usb-stick, or just open and close dolphins/konqueror. Dolphins shows error from dbus 'Unknow file system "ntfs".'

I cannot reproduce this issue. Does it still occur for you with KDE 4.0.3? Thanks!
Comment 2 ZcMander 2008-04-28 14:53:51 UTC
I can reproduce this, it is still saying same. Error is related to hal, becase the error is "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume.UnknownFilesystemType".

Installed dbus version: 1.1.20
Installed hal version: 0.5.9.1-rc3
Installed dolphin version: 1.0.2

It sounds like this bug is caused by HAL. Has it been reported upstream to the HAL developers?

Any news on this? Can you still reproduce this bug with a recent KDE version and a fresh installation ? Thanks
