Description CSights 2008-01-22 17:21:09 UTC
Version: 0.6 (using 4.00.00 (KDE 4.0.0), Debian packages)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.23.14

Hi,
Okular displays a font which should be "plain" as italic instead. KPDF displays the font correctly. I will include a picture of the kpdf and okular output on my system, and the pdf.

Thanks!
  C.

Works fine here, which poppler version do you have?

In comment #4 here is Kubuntu, now also tested on Mandriva and works too

Okular on this Debian unstable/testing computer depends on libpoppler-qt4-2 >=0.6 (0.6.2 installed) which in turn depends on libpoppler2 >= 0.6 (0.6.2 installed).

Hi, some more info: Okular and KPDF are using different fonts for Courier.

In Okular, the fonts reported are:
Courier	Type 1	/usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1/n022024l.pfb
OTJKZH+CMR10	Type 1C	Yes (subset)

In KPDF,
Courier Type 1 /usr/share/fonts/type1/gsfonts/n022003l.pfb
OTJKZH+CMR10	Type 1C	Yes

Also, libpoppler2 is now 0.6.4-1 .

Should I report to Debian? Thanks! C.

Sorry, but Okular has no role in rendering the document.
All the job (for PDFs) is done by libpoppler, so you should report the problem to poppler, so it can be better tracked there.

Thanks for your understanding.
