Description Maciej Pilichowski 2008-01-13 10:40:10 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)

It could be for example black (filled) rectangle with white text "EOT" or ">" (or a line, just suggestions), something nice, but on the other hand non-disturbing.

Purpose -- to see exactly where the text ends without having to press ctrl+end to put cursor and the end (and delete unnecessary lines for example).

I don't think this is a good idea, this is done nowhere else in KDE.

I reported it for Kate too, I only hope there would be no recurrent argument "this is done nowhere..." ;-))

I didn't mean user should be forced to use this feature, but you could compare it to books. With those small marks it is really tremendous help (and assurance) you are reading to the end of the content and nothing is missing. This is also true for editing but in reverse -- there is nothing extra.

This is absolutely true (in general) for any editor for C++ and for templates editor -- it helps you make less corrections because you see the boundaries right away, no need for testing.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
