Description Maciej Pilichowski 2008-01-12 14:33:23 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

It would be great to have configurable phrases (templates). For example:
hello off. -- dear sirs and madams
my bank -- If you could please send the money to my bank account, number...
etc.

then, while writing mail I would just choose "my bank" (from menu, toolbar or via keyboard shortcut) and composer would insert the full text.

Maciej,

Doesn't File->New->Message from Template do this?
Comment 2 Maciej Pilichowski 2008-01-12 14:55:43 UTC
Sorry for using the same name (template), my wish is about composing one mail from several small pieces, instead of one big template -- so those features are related, but not the same.

To avoid the confusion, such a facility would be better named something else. A more suitable term might be "Phrases", or possibly "Boilerplate Text".
