Summary: subtitles xine-1.1.9 # separator

Description Severin Stampler 2008-01-12 13:54:33 UTC
Version: 0.8.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Since version 1.1.9 of xine, the subtitle mechanism seems to be broken. Kaffeine tries to pass a MRL of the kind video.mpg#subtitle:/subtitle.srt to xine, which refuses the MRL. this seems to be caused by a change in the xine library since version 1.1.9.
Videos, which have subtitle files in the same directory cannot be played because of this. If the subtitle file is removed/renamed the videos can be played (but only without subtitles)
