Description Simon Oosthoek 2008-01-02 10:55:09 UTC
Version: 0.9.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Since I'm using digikam more and more for the things I (used to) do with gqview, I keep running into missing features I would like to see in digikam as well ;-)

When I'm browsing the album (or any view for that matter), the largest thumbnail view is not adequate for my viewing needs. I sometimes prefer to have a single image at maximum scale for the available viewing space, inside the window with all the menus and toolbars available.

In such a view, I don't need multiple selections and stuff, but e.g. the type-filter and tag-setting or meta-data view is useful here. Another way to describe this would be like a "full" screen slideshow _inside_ the thumb view area, but not automatic progression to the next image (but perhaps this could be useful to someone as well).

I hope this is doable without much effort ;-)

Cheers

Simon

Simon, maybe I am missing something, but doesn't
"Image/View" (F3) does what you want?
