Description Nicolas Schoonbroodt 2007-12-21 15:52:55 UTC
Version: 1.9.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

When you get an email from someone which is your adressbook and linked to someone in kopete, you can see if this user is online or not (and the status of connection, "online", "away", ...) and you can chat with the sender. (that's ok, this is just an introduction)

When you receive a mail with a lot of "To: " or "CC: ", you have the status of the sender only. Is it possible to add the status for each receiver ?

For the UI integration, you can for example add an small icon next to each email adress/name in the header (for example the light (on or off) for jabber account, the butterfly for msn messenger, ...)

And maybe add a "conference chat" possibility in the menu (but it's impossible to create a conference between two jabber users, 3 msn messenger users and one AOL user ;-) )

I hope that my english is understandable.

The online status indicator is gone in KDE4 (because KIMProxy in kdelibs was unmaintained), and the 3.5 branch is feature-frozen.

Therefore, this wish can not be fulfilled.
