Note that this is potentially confusing with actual mail filters in KMail. It is easy enough to change, but I'd rather not decide this without the HIG backing that. Today its confusing with the actual search dialog. But: if you filter emails, this will be done automaticly. If you want to search a email and you type in your search in the filter, it is not a search! The difference is the active and the passive action. For beginners don't know about the difference of filter-dialog and search-dialog. I have found a screenshot with the correct naming in dolphin: http://liquidat.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/dolphin.png So there gives more then one naming-scheme. Please standardize it. Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
