Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

Adding a shared folder in the samba/nfs config dialog will crash it.

Step to reproduce:
1. start dolphin
2. rightclick a folder
3. go to "share" tab
4. click to "configure file sharing"
5. insert root password if asked
6. click "add" button
... the dialog crash.

Which KDE version did you use?
Comment 3 FiNeX 2008-01-15 15:03:27 UTC
I've had the crash on a revision of 2007-11-27. I should re-try with a more update version.
Comment 4 Jan Schaefer 2008-01-15 15:11:33 UTC
So revision 2007-11-27 of trunk? If yes, then please try the actual trunk aka KDE 4.1, where I already fixed this bug. I need testers for that patch so that I can backport it to the 4.0 branch.
Comment 5 FiNeX 2008-01-15 16:10:36 UTC
Yes. I've tested this feature on that revision.

Filesharing error

Hi! I've just tested on revision 761006 but I've got this error :-(
Comment 7 Jan Schaefer 2008-01-15 20:32:51 UTC
Okay, this is strange and should not happen. Are you sure that you did a make install? How did you start the module? Is there anything on the console?
Comment 8 FiNeX 2008-01-17 01:05:44 UTC
I've installed KDE with the kdesvn-build script.
The "module" is started by dolphin as I've already wrote.

shell output

On the shell I've got this messages after clicking on "configure file sharing"
(and inserting the right password).

I hope it will be useful.

I cannot reproduce the bug anymore using current trunk.
