i cannot see my orkut's scraps, any of them, it is as if it doesn't exist

Confirm broken in 3.5.8 and trunk, not helped by UA spoofing. Text seems to be in the page, so probably a rendering thing..

I can see my scraps just fine in both Konqueror 3.5.9 and Konqueror 4 trunk (kdelibs: 799193, kdebase: 799197)

The scraps are working fine on Konqueror 3.5.9 "release 72.6" openSUSE 10.3.

It appears that the initial reporter (Nicolas) is using the stable Gentoo profile and as of today 3.5.9 isn't stable yet. A possible workaround would be to keyword kde-base/konqueror in /etc/portage/package.keywords and emerge the 3.5.9 version.
