Version: 1.9.6 (enterprise 20070904.708012) (using KDE 3.5.7 "release 72.2" , openSUSE 10.3)
Compiler: Target: x86_64-suse-linux
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22.12-0.1-default

If i would send a Mail and don't have received my mails before, kmail doesn't know the passwort, so i couldn't send the mail and if i send the mail there open's no window to sign in the passwort. first i have to receiv my mails and then send again.

Are you using a mailprovider which requires you to login with POP before you can send mail using SMTP (I know web.de used to do this...) ?

i don't know but i think so

Well, if the provider requires you to do a POP check before you can send mail, there is no way KMail could change this.
