I found the cause of the problem: Not a bug. This is caused by a configuration decision. "It's not a bug it's a feature" (!) In Kontact I had two resource files set up and Kontact Calendar is configured to use both of them. Both are selected for display. Disable display for one or delete one file and the second instance of the To-Do item will disappear You can see this selection in the Calendar display. It depends on how you set up your layout but the selection is probably in the centre pane, lower panel. Under "Calendar" it lists resources to be displayed and lets you check them or delete them. The selections made in respect to Calendar also govern the display for To-Do List since those items are dated and appear on the Calendar. This can also be changed from the administration menus. Go to Menu/Tools/System Tools/Control Centre In the left side panel Expand KDE Components Select KDE Resources In the right side panel Use the Resources drop down menu to select 'Calendar' Check the display below that if it indicates that two resource files are available then that is why the record is being displayed twice select the resource and click the 'Edit' button the Edit Dialogue will indicate where the resource file is determine if you want the record in both files or not determine if you want the second resource file at all if you don't want the file at all, select it and click the Remove button if you want it but don't want these items written to it, select it and uncheck the box |
