I have a Xinerama setup here with a Radeon Mobility 9200 and the Xorg radeon driver, running on Xorg 7.2. I have a 1680x1050 resolution on my laptop display and a 1400x1050 setup on the CRT to the left of the laptop display

The panel should (according to Aaron) be only as large as one of my screens, but its larger than the one on which it is displayed. In this case the panel shows up on my 2nd screen, the CRT and is about 1/4th in the laptop display.
