Description Josef Spillner 2007-09-10 20:20:27 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

As a nomad I usually take some configuration files with me when moving from one computer to another. Obviously, I cannot take the kmail folders with me. The result is that all local kmail filters are properly set up on the new computer but the filtering doesn't work because the folders don't exist on it.

I suggest going through all of the filters and creating the folders structure automatically if needed. This matches the expectation of users from online mail access (e.g. webmail or IMAP) and will make roaming easier.

In general kmailrc should be cleaned up a bit so it becomes more suitable. For example, "[General]::Default domain" should not be stored unless the user explicitly wants to override $HOSTNAME. "UnreadMsgs" is similarly useless in a new environment, this should go to some cache file.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
