Description Jérôme Blanc 2007-09-10 11:34:06 UTC
Version: 1.9.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
OS:                Linux

I'm using Kontact at the office to handle professional emails, through a Lotus Domino server.

The bug is quite easy to reproduce :

* Let's say that KMail displays me 10 emails in a given folder. Now, let's say that the first mail displayed is mail number 1, and the last mail in the list is mail number 10.

* Now, I delete/move mail number 4.

The bug is : the next mail (whatever it is) I select in the list will instantly disappear from the list, and the following mail (the one above in the list, and if none, one below) will be shown to me instead. In my exemple, let's say I then select mail number 7 (which was previsously number 8). Mail number 7 will then also be removed from the list and mail number 8 (previously 9) will be displayed instead.

The workaround is to display the content of another folder and come back to the one from which I deleted/moved the email. Then one can hopefully still find the email that «disappeared».

I never experienced this problem with kmail (currently kmail 1.11.90 from trunk). Do you have the possibility to try this with a more recent version of kmail?
Also do you have the possibility to check this with another imap server? It may be Lotus Domino specific issue.

Waiting for an answer

Sorry, it was at work and I changed since that report. I currently do not have any more KMail in hand to test this :/

Okay, I close this then. If you can test this again and find the bug again, I immediately reopen.
