Description Piotr Keplicz 2007-08-22 14:48:03 UTC
Version: 1.5.71 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

New entity attributes are not visible when designing an entity.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start a clean entity-relationship diagram.
2. Create an entity.
3. Add an attribute to the entity. It appears on the attributes list.
4. Close the dialog window. New entity attribute is not visible on the diagram.
If you open entity properties dialog again, the attributes list is empty, but you cannot add
another attribute of the same name as the first one.

This bug was introduced with Umbrello 1.5.71.

What is (or is not) related: if you have a pre-1.5.71 diagram, the attributes are visible. The dialog window for the attribute properties has two sections: "General properties" and "Indexing". OTOH when you try to add an attribute, the dialog window has sections: "General properties" and "Visibility". It used to have all the three sections in 1.5.7.

I can confirm this bug in 1.5.71 on latest Ubuntu Gutsy.

This bug also exists in 1.5.8 compiled from source.

Umbrello 2.0 apparently resolves the problem.
Comment 5 Dmitry Bigunyak 2009-01-23 11:24:15 UTC
This bug is not fixed yet! I compile umbrello 1.5.8 from source on my gentoo and can't add new attributes to entity.
