Description Edgar Kalkowski 2007-07-18 15:05:13 UTC
Version: 0.5.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

I configured my KPDF to use memory "agressively" and when I'm viewing PDFs in the mode "continuous" the page preloading works fine!

But when I choose the view not to be continuous and KPDF only shows one page and when I scroll the next the pages are not preloaded and I get a rendering delay. I think KPDF should also preload some pages in the not "continuous" view!

Do you see it fixed?

This requires a slightly intrusive change to the relayouting algorithm that is not not really affordable in a stable serie (especially that is getting less and less testing).

Sorry, but this won't be fixed in KPDF. (Please note that the bug is not present in Okular.)
