Sorry, KWin will not support viewports, as, except for this detail, they're from the user's point of view exactly the same, but completely different from the developer's of view. If you want, you can use a different window manager with KDE that supports viewports (http://ktown.kde.org/~seli/kdewm/). *** Bug 178621 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 179092 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** ctrl+f8 to activate desktopgrid kwin effect, now drag a window to the next desktop with 1/2 the window on one desktop (visible) and the other half on the next desktop (not visible) - see screenshot. still happening with trunk compiled about 3hrs ago http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/8340/snapshot1ux9.jpg (see the top right desktop where systemsettings window is being dragged to the desktop below - where only the top portion of the systemsettings window is visible the other part of the window in the desktop below is not visible.) The bug #179092 is for kde4 this one #147461 is for kde3, so I am not sure about assigning the former bug to this one with -WONTFIX-assigned? |
