When I try to select some text with the mouse in konsole most of the times (sometimes it doesn't happen but I have not been able to know why) the scroll bar is moved to the bottom, thus difficulting the text selection (you have to scroll back again till the position you were to complete the selection).

I am not able to reproduce here.  Could you please experiment more and try to find out the conditions under which Konsole snaps to the bottom of the screen?

Yeah, I'm unable to reproduce it right now, but I suffer it consistently at work. I'll try to figure out why does it happen. Thanks :)

Just to clarify, is this KDE from trunk you are using at both home and work?

Yes, does it sound too scary? :P It's just one installation though as I have it in my laptop which use both at home and at work.
