Description Richard Hartmann 2007-05-31 10:18:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)

To see what I mean:

start vim
:set paste
press 'i'
copy and paste this:
-------------------------

Hello Test,

I am writing emails in a way that makes everyone reading mail on a terminal weep. I do this on purpose.
I
also
hate
people
who
embed
their
email
reading
window,
thus
I
create
long
emails.

Please help me,

Misanthrope

--------------------------
press '<esc>'
:set tw=72
press 'gggqG'

It will reformat the text nicely. It will also heed any quoting and indentation.

Hmm, the info box in the upper right foils my long line.. Everything from 'I am' to 'purpose.' is supposed to be in the first line.
Comment 2 Richard Hartmann 2007-06-08 01:59:16 UTC
This is a composer, not a messageviewer issue. It directly edits the text you want to send. Unless I am missing something, this should be moved to composer.

In light of the impeding KDE4 release, I am going through all bug reports I am involved in. To the best of my knowledge, this issue is still open.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
