Description Geoff King 2007-05-28 18:55:31 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (feisty) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu14)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-16-generic

The kipi-plugins advanced slideshow in digikam is inconsistent with digikam and a little confusing for new users (my wife).

1) Name is "Advanced SlideShow" instead of "Slide Show" in digikam. Should have consistency with names in Digikam.

2) Advanced SlideShow uses ms instead of seconds. I like the finer resolution afforded by using ms but interface should be in seconds for most users. Using 1.5 seconds would be preferred to 1500 ms.

3) The 'Ok' and 'Cancel' buttons should have different names. Instead of 'Ok' maybe use "Start Slide Show". Instead of 'Cancel' maybe "Exit Slide Show".

I hope this helps.

Hi Geoff,
1) The name was been changed from "SlideShow" to "Advanced SlideShow" because Digikam now has a new SlideShow tool (which is more basic than this one).

2) OK, sounds great: I've added a new section (called Advaced), with the option "Use milliseconds instead of seconds". Now 'seconds' is the default unit.

3) Another good idea: I've changed "OK" to "Start SlideShow" and "Close" to "Exit"

Thanks for the collaboration :)

(I'll commit changes soon)
