I have noticed that the mouseover icon gets confused with the new 'link in new window' and the 'mailto' icon - it appears during a session whatever one is used first, it stays like that;

i.e. if you happen to get a mailto icon first, then afterwards even a 'link in new window' shows the mailto icon.  If you happen to get the 'link in new window' icon first, then even a mailto will show the new window icon.

It is hard to determine what is the case.

Depending which one of the above pages visit first, then you are stuck with that icon.

i cant reproduce in trunk r869427, the mailto link has always the letter icon, and the open in new window the window with the +. seems fine

Can not reproduce it also with konqueror 4.1.69 (opensuse).
