the cursor in google bar moves at the end of string when user edit it

Yes it's very disturbing and I can't think of a reason to have that "feature". The user can pres Home key if he wants to go to the end of text.

I can not reproduce this bug correctly. Maybe I didn't understand correctly. Can you please recheck if the bug still exists and reexplain if it does? Thanks.

I can't reproduce with KDE 4.2.
I think the issue used to appear when "google suggestions" was enabled but now (under KDE 4.2) I cannot find a way to enable it, in order to test if that was the case.

I can't reproduce this either and am closing this report now. Feel free to reopen if this bug occurs again in future.
Comment 5 Leonidas Arvanitis 2011-01-10 10:35:58 UTC
This bug isn't reproducible anymore. Just tested with KDE 4.5.4.

For historical reasons a better explanation of steps to reproduce it was:

1. Type "searchh string" in the search bar.
2. Move typing cursor with arrow keys or mouse between the two 'h's.
3. Press delete key once to remove the second 'h'.

The typing cursor would now go to the end of the search string automatically.

This bug got fixed at some point, so leave it closed.
