Version:           1.9.6 (using KDE 3.5.6, compiled sources)
Compiler:          Target: x86_64-mandriva-linux-gnu

Where dragging a file from konqueror to a kmail compose window, when dropping the file, the popup menu, where appears the 2 items:
Add as text
Add as attachement

it appears in the bottom of desktop, just over kicker panel, instead appearing where the file is dropped.

I tried it and it works fine for me.
Do you have more detailed instructions how to reproduce this?

I dont understand, now is also working fine here...
